Community Service
The volunteering activities aim to contribute to restoring historical houses, by working together with experts in this domain – historians and architects that are running these projects for years.
Immersive Learning
We plan not only to learn about local history, but also about the impact that it had on local community, how the power of determined people with strong values brought success in dealing with “Goliath”, big industries and politicians. This is a mountain village, with many beautiful landmarks, some of which will be visited with offroad cars. Our staff have been running successful adventure education programs for more than 20 years, and a major part of our program is focused on personal development, based on our ropes course activities (Project Adventure USA).
Adventure
In addition to connecting with local communities and participating in volunteer work, we will also have time to visit some of the oldest Transylvanian castles, gorges and caves.
Lodging
The students' home base on this program will consist of different locations in our village, from local hostels to traditional houses. Students will share rooms with roommates, and have access to shared bathrooms. Seasonal, local, healthy and very tasty food will be served including meat, fresh local dairy products, home baked bread, vegetables and fruit. Also we can tailor the menu considering any food sensitivities or dietary restrictions that are notified prior to the stay.
